Individual Lessons:
We provide a very personalized and customized service with our INDIVIDUAL LESSONS (one-on-one) geared to meet your unique goals and aspirations. Whether you wish to learn a specific genre of music (Rock, Jazz, Classical) or some basic chords and favorite melodies, we can customize the music lessons to suit you.
Our Teachers:
Our teachers have a university education in a musical discipline and many are also performing musicians who can be seen on various professional stages locally and abroad. Most of our teachers are also fluently bilingual (English & French) and many speak a third language. If you require instruction in a language other than English & French, please ask, we may have someone who can accommodate you. (Other languages presently available: Spanish, Italian, Russian, Portuguese)
Lesson Duration:
We offer weekly lessons of 30 minutes, 45 minutes & 60 minutes duration. Deciding how much time is right for you may depend on your budget, your age or how much time you have to devote to practicing. Generally speaking, if you devote more time to practicing, you will require a longer weekly lesson. For a young child however, 30 minutes is sufficient as they may not have the attention span or patience to sit through a longer lesson. An adult will find 30 minutes goes by too quickly and has not covered enough material. If you are unsure what is right for you, we can help you. The important thing is to just START learning. You can change your music lesson details at any time, whether it's the lesson duration, your schedule, your teacher or your choice of instrument. Your satisfaction is our commitment.
How long does it take to learn how to play?
We get asked this question a lot, unfortunately, there is no simple or easy answer. Learning to play a musical instrument depends on many factors such as how much time you have to devote to practising, whether you are with the right instrument or teacher,or whether you are a quick learner with a natural talent. What does it mean to learn to play well, do you want to learn how to play simple melodies or complex and sophisticated arrangements? As a very general rule, within one or two years, you will have a very basic knowledge and grasp of your instrument. Keep in mind that learning is an on-going process and even the most gifted and talented musicians rehearse and practice on an almost daily basis.
Do I need to own an instrument?
It is essential that you own a musical instrument. However, if you are not ready to make a large purchase, you can RENT your instrument from our store and purchase later. There are several options available to you, from OPTION to buy plans to monthly payment and FINANCING PLANS. Ask one of our qualified sales associates with option is best for you. You do not need to carry your instrument with you to your music lesson as we have well equipped classrooms with pianos, guitars, bass guitars, drum kits etc.. The only exceptions are for wind & brass students (for hygienic reasons) and for violin students (for sizing reasons).
